The site is part of a large family compound and is surrounded by an olive grove and lagoon. Our client wanted the garden to be influenced by Italian gardens from her travels and feel like a personal retreat. The home encloses a courtyard garden with the central feature being a large spa. The spa was designed with the intent of having a custom fabricated stone bowl cascade into the water below to emulate a fountain. The planting deliberately softens the edges of the architecture, hardscape, and surrounding courtyard walls to further give a sense of retreat and serenity.
