This client inspired garden is a reflection of their flare for color and appreciation of artistry and craft. The clients are avid collectors of contemporary and tribal arts and are lovers of botanical diversity. The garden consists of a unique entertainment space within a collection of unique plants. It centers on the presentation of two existing rare palms. A serpentine tile and stucco bench inspired by Gaudi, wraps a gravel terrace and continues to sweep around a palm cluster. The deep-sea mosaic on the bench along with a colorful collection of succulents above help to emulate a coral reef. A playful firepit located at the center of the terrace allows for the enjoyment of the garden on cool evenings. The jungle-like diversity of plantings provides for a unique and everchanging backdrop for art, entertainment and gardening.
