Inspired by the architecture, the landscape uses geometry and texture to extend the adu’s identity into the surrounding environment. The goal was to create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces, encouraging movement, relaxation, and immersion in nature.

The pool is the centerpiece of the landscape, acting as a mirror to the architecture and sky. Being centered on the ADU, it reinforces symmetry and draws the eye into the depth of the property. The paving contrasts the dark facade of the house and offers a crisp, clean surface for lounging and circulation.

Adjacent to the pool, generous patios support a variety of uses—lounging, dining, and gathering—framed by low, sculptural plantings. These hardscaped areas create outdoor rooms that function as extensions of the interior, encouraging outdoor use activities and provide needed circulation.
